Free Seminars. As established partners, Casio Education Australia and The Tuition Centre offer free seminars in Perth WA aimed at supporting teachers and their students in the efficient and thoughtful use of hand-held technology in the classroom. Each year a series of 12 seminars are held ranging from learning the basics through to developing eActivities and spreadsheets for both Casio fx-9860G and the Classpad. More information and registration at The Tuition Centre website.

eActivities. An eActivity is like a special kind of web page in the fx-9860G - a document with text, math and embedded links in it. Whether you want a visual method of solving all sides and angles in a triangle or a suite of probability distributions, the chances are someone has written a program to do it. All you need to do is download a copy and you're off and running - no programming skills required! more...

Spreadsheets are a new application for the Casio range of graphics calculators, although you are probably more than familiar with them from using Microsoft Excel or some similar existing spreadsheet package. Once you've picked up the Casio basics, you'll be able to use your existing skills in working with spreadsheets on the fx-9860G. more...
